Travel courses offer an exciting learning laboratory full of experiences, opportunities, and connections. They are also a great way to earn extra credits. Midland College has offered several exciting national and international travel courses across several disciplines. Most travel courses are offered in the spring and summer.
Ecology and Indigenous Cultures in Panama
Calling all explorers ... get ready for our next adventure! On September 24, 2011, we will depart for Panama. During 7 days in September we will explore the wonders of Panama. Our itinerary is attached. We will marvel at the wonders of nature, indigenous cultures and the engineering of the canal. Dr. Edwin Barnhart will lead us through the cultural aspects of the trip. I will guide us through the biological experiences.

The trip will be limited to 20 explorers. Costs are shown below:
Maya Exploration Center - for hotel, boat trips, flight between Panama City and San Blas $1,700 (double occupancy)
Midland College Course - $150
Roundtrip airfare from Midland to Panama City - $1,000 - approximately
